About us

Ulusaba Private Game Reserve is Sir Richard Branson’s safari lodge located in the Western sector of the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve and forms part of Virgin Limited Edition. The ultimate destination for spotting the ‘Big Five’, guests are able to enjoy over 13,500 hectares (about 33,000 acres) of privately owned, unspoilt, game-rich Bush in near solitude.

With experienced Trackers and Game Rangers sharing their vast knowledge of the surrounding wildlife, Ulusaba brings the thrill, adventure and safari traditions of Africa to life in an exclusive and luxurious setting. Guests can taste the spoils of Africa in peace and tranquillity and book individual rooms or exclusively hire individual lodges or the hotel as a whole. Both operate on an all-inclusive basis. Whether it’s for a birthday, wedding, anniversary or just a great opportunity to escape with family and friends, Ulusaba’s team are on hand to cater to all requests.

Lodges

  1. Rock Lodge
  2. SAFARI LODGE

Ulusaba means “place of little fear”. That’s because the koppie where Rock Lodge sits provided the ancient Shangaan warriors with the perfect lookout point. Spend time at Rock Lodge and you’ll be flying with the eagles, or take a walk on the wild side back down to earth at Safari Lodge.
We have two lodges, each with a different perspective on the African bush. Rock Lodge and Safari Lodge are both extraordinary in their own way, and each aims to provide a unique and exceptional experience – something you’ll remember forever. We suggest you visit both!
